Common Questions
Where is the best place to see the Great Migration in Tanzania?
It depends on the month: the southern Serengeti and Ndutu for calving (January–March), the western corridor and Grumeti (May–July), and the northern Serengeti for Mara River crossings (July–October).
How many days do I need for a Tanzania safari?
Seven to ten days lets you combine the Serengeti with the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire without spending most of your time travelling. Light-aircraft flights between camps save a lot of time.
Can I combine a Tanzania safari with a beach stay?
Yes — Zanzibar and the Mafia and Pemba islands are short flights from the northern parks and make an easy end to a safari.
